The documents requested by Shepherd Johnson relative to the Palmer collection were released yesterday by the National Park Service including a photograph of the mummy (page 176 of the PDF) taken by S. Yes, there is a reference here: https://arizona.openrepository.com/arizona/bitstream/10150/296658/1/azu_stoffle_nagpra_nps_report_w.pdf “Part of the Palmer collection was transferred to Montezuma Castle National Monument from Mesa Verde in 1947.[7]” Note 7. See photograph in archives at WACC (1896a; WACC Accession No. 125).

So the WACC in Tucson should have a photograph in their archives. http://cip.azlibrary.gov/Institution.aspx?InsID=395 A FOIA request was filed (not by me). News were expected “soon” two weeks ago…

Just a guess: The September 1948 edition of “National Geographic Magazine” had an article “Ancient Cliff Dwellers of Mesa Verde”. So some of the staff was around & may have photographed objects in the museum. Even if none of those photos had been published they may be in the archives of the Nat. Geo. Society.

Merci pour cette synthèse très intéressante concernant à la fois les résultats des analyses et leur interprétation spéculative ainsi que l’antécédent relatif au fioul de l’Erika par le Directeur d’Analytika.
La réalité des évènements politiques, écologiques, mondiaux sont suffisamment alarmistes sans qu’il y ait besoin d’en rajouter. J’avoue ne pas bien comprendre la jouissance que l’on peut tirer à faire peur à ses contemporains.
